Saxony's education system is once again ranked number 1.

For the 18th time in a row, Saxony's education system has come first in a comparison of all German federal states. This is according to the 2023 Education Monitor published on 30 August. The Education Monitor shows the extent to which a federal state's education system contributes to economic growth and prosperity. Saxony performs very well in most of the 13 fields of action examined. The Free State has particular strengths in the areas of funding infrastructure (1st place), school quality (1st place), research orientation (1st place), prevention of educational disadvantage (1st place) and internationalisation (1st place). There is room for improvement in the categories of digitisation (13th place) and childcare conditions (15th place).
